En Plein Air

April 12-14, 2024 - We invite you to our annual exhibition of landscape paintings by some of the best local artists, all painted en plein air here in Louisiana during the current year.

WHAT

Our annual exhibit of approximately 75 recent paintings of Louisiana landscapes by local artists made on location en plein air (out in the open air). 

Major funding for this event is provided by

Abita Springs architect and collector Ron Blitch oversees an exceptional exhibition of brand new work, some of it so new that it's still wet when we hang it.  All paintings are available for purchase with 30% going towards support of programs at the Trailhead Museum.

Opening reception 2019

WHEN & WHERE

April 12-14, 2024
The opening reception is 6-9pm on Friday, April 12th. There will be plenty of food, wine, and Abita beer. The exhibition is open 10am-3pm Saturday and Sunday.  All events are free.

At the Abita Springs Trailhead Museum, 22044 Main Street in Abita Springs Park next to the Abita Brew Pub along the Tammany Trace.
